About Licypriya Foundation

Licypriya Kangujam founded Licypriya Foundation in 2022 to champion every child in the fight against climate change and to make our planet green again. The foundation will work to support the various activities to take urgent climate action now to save our planet and our future. It will extend support to innovative ideas on solving various environmental issues happening around the world and will support research on clean air to breathe, clean water to drink and clean planet to live. It will carry out massive tree plantations and cleanliness drives across the globe. Licypriya Foundation is registered under Article 64 (A) of Indian Trust Act 1882 of the Constitution of India with Regd. No. IV820 of 2022.

President of East Timor and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr Jose Ramos Horta had launched Licypriya Foundation on 21st May 2022.

Some of the main objectives of Licypriya Foundation are:

To take urgent climate action now;
To carry out massive tree plantation and cleanliness drive across the globe;
To support innovative ideas on solving various environmental issues;
To create awareness on various environmental issues;
To impart knowledge of climate education to the schools and other educational institutions;
To extend humanitarian support to the victims of climate related disasters like floods, heat waves, cyclones, landslides, droughts, etc.;
To invest on finding environmental answers, giving education and ending poverty;
To receive all the funds coming in the name of Licypriya from the awards or donations or honorariums of speaking or participating various corporate or institutional or organizational events to fulfill the objective of the foundation.
To institute “Licypriya Prize for Environment” to recognize the efforts of individuals or organizations working to solve the various climate and environmental issues with a cash prize of Rs 1 million every year with the supports of the donors and well wishers;
To research on clean air to breathe, clean water to drink and clean planet to live.
